- What is all about?
This is a web based application that can be used to monitor how many mails you sent were actually read or which links inside have been clicked.
It’s very useful when managing newsletters as you can have an automatic feedback of the related campaign.
- How does it work?
Each mail must be processed before been sent, adding a small piece of code inside it and modifiying all the links. These actions let our system be aware of what will happen, recording specific events such as a user clicking on a specific link.
Pre-processing e-mails is as simple as accessing your personal area and retrieving the custom code to be pasted inside your mail. This can also be done automatically through another software, our perfect companion for TrackEmailMarketing: SendBlaster.
- Which events does it track and what kind of informations are processed?
There are two main events:- a user receives the mail and opens it on his e-mail client to read the content
- a user clicks on any link inside the body of the message
Keeping track of these events our system can generate a whole range of statistics, including:
- how many sent mails have been read
- how many links have been clicked and which
- who clicked what
